TGIF (17)

TGIF at GReads- This Feature is for Fridays to re-cap the week's post & to answer a question from GReads.

Question: Issue Books: Which books have you found to be very rewarding when it comes to tackling tougher issues?

The book that popped out in my mind when I read this question was Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It deals around the issue of rape which is definitely a tough to write about especially in a Young Adult book. This was a required reading for me in my freshman year of high school. I loved reading it and even read it again a few years later. I think the author did a remarkable job with the book and it is a book at least every female young adult should read. This is a fantastic read with a difficult topic to talk about.

What you may have missed on my blog recently:

Blog Tours:

  1. Ooh I haven't read this and I'm adding it to books I hope to read on such a strong recommendation :-)

    1. Glad to hear! I hope you love it as much as I did and still do.

  2. Speak has been on a few lists I've seen, including mine, and rightfully so. Great choice!

A lot of the time I mean to go back and forget because life is crazy.
